After serving in the United States Air Force as a dental assistant, KeishaMarie faced a difficult transition into civilian life. With no clear direction and no interest in climbing the corporate ladder, she spent nearly a decade in network marketing. While it offered a sense of community, something was still missing—where were all the veteran women?
She wondered:
Where do women veterans go after leaving the service?
How do they make friends outside the military?
Do they just work and go home?
What do they do for fun—especially those without family nearby?
And how do they even access the benefits they've earned?
Because let’s be honest—the struggle is real.
Recognizing this gap, KeishaMarie took action. She began slowly and organically creating the space she once searched for—a place for veteran women to feel seen, supported, and connected as they navigate post-military life.
Today, she is finalizing the steps to officially launch Veteran WingWomen as a nonprofit organization, using her connections, experiences, and passion to build a thriving community for women veterans ready to reclaim their joy, confidence, and sense of purpose.
